Big Lottery Fund – Young Start

After a 9 month hiatus the Young Start fund is open to applications! The aim of the fund has remained similar: to fund activity that helps children and young people aged between eight and 24 years of age to be more confident and play an active part in realising their own potential. Here’s some key points:

Strengthening Third Sector Boards Event

This free event for Chairs and Trustees of Third Sector Boards in Lanarkshire explores the impact on sustainability and growth of having the right skills mix at Board level. In a first for Lanarkshire, this event pulls together expertise and advice from across a range of national providers to help you navigate through the complex landscape of finding new Board members.

CLIC Sargent is Looking for Volunteers

CLIC Sargent is the UK’s leading cancer charity for children, young people and their families. Our care teams have been providing specialist support across the UK for years. We know that for young lives, when the doctor says cancer, normal life stops. Cancer affects every part of life – relationships, confidence, money, school, work.  CLIC Sargent care teams will fight tirelessly to limit the damage cancer causes. They will listen, and ask the right questions, so that they can provide the right support, tailored to each young person and family.

Ironmongers Company

The Ironmongers’ Company wishes to support projects that provide opportunities for disadvantaged children and young people to fulfil their potential.

Grants are only given to registered charities. Projects must meet all of the following criteria:

Peoples Health Trust - Health Engage Funding for North Lanarkshire

New funding available for local groups in Dumfries and Galloway, North, East and South Ayrshire, Scottish Borders, and North Lanarkshire.

Local groups and organisations with great ideas to make their communities an even better place to live are now invited to apply for funding to turn their ideas into reality.

People’s Health Trust has just launched Active Communities in Dumfries and Galloway, North, East and South Ayrshire, Scottish Borders, and North Lanarkshire – a funding programme for local people wanting to create fairer places to grow, live, work and age.
